The design story

Our boot-wearing crab playfully connects Dundalk’s working-community history with Maryland’s crab-table traditions. The Maryland Historical Trust documents Dundalk’s World War I shipworker housing and industrial development. The Maryland State Archives records the blue crab’s designation as the state crustacean in 1989. The artwork interprets those connections with original humor.
